The Autumn Glory Royalty Court has been selected for the 57th Annual Autumn Glory Festival.
This years King is Ben Lohr and the Queen is Kambria Kyle.
Lohr grew up in Garrett County. He is the captain of his soccer team, plays baseball for Southern Garrett High School and makes an effort to attend and support most community sporting events. He is involved with the Future Business Leaders of America and the National Honor Society and participates in the Lions Club Blind Skier Program, coaching and teaching at Bethany Soccer Camp and volunteering with the Deep Creek Lake Art and Wine Festival.
Kyle has called Garrett County home her entire life. She is a member of Northern Garrett High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program and serves as battalion commander, raider captain and cyber patriot captain. She is on the varsity teams for cross country and track and field and is a member of Student Council and Garrett County’s Association of Student Councils. Every year, she participates in Wreaths Across America, veteran memorial cleanups and the Lions Club Blind Camper Program. She is pursuing a U.S. Military Academy appointment where she hopes to earn a commission as an Army officer and serve her country within the medical corps.
The Autumn Glory royalty will preside over the kickoff reception and dinner to be held Oct. 9th and they will be featured in the Autumn Glory Grand Feature Parade on Oct. 12th.
The students will receive a monetary contribution toward future educational endeavors.
